REFLECTIONS

I have always had a special affection for street photography. This type of photography makes it better than any other to capture a moment of human life and immortalize a unique moment, to freeze a shot that will probably never come back. The stories the street tells us are rarely trivial. As long as we dwell on them, they are often touching, intriguing, fascinating or instructive.
The street sends us back to our reflections. It forces us to reflect, to look at who we are, to question ourselves about what we are becoming. It invites us to question our attitudes.

SHOWCASING THE COLORS OF OUR STREETS

Our streets are full of colors that brighten up our lives. Although already aware of their omnipresence, I often appreciate them more after the fact in the photos than when I walk around the neighborhood. It is as if the light, the shadows and the colors really only reveal themselves after having been captured in a camera.

MYSTERIOUS ZANZIBAR

Candidates N&B-7.jpg

Ailleurs Magazine

I arrived in Zanzibar early in the morning by sea. I imagined a world on the edge of the Arabian Nights and of Africa. I was not deceived. I chose to present Zanzibar to you with few words but with a lot of images. I invite you to discover it with me in this magazine in black and white because it allows better to express the timeless, to be able to imagine the places as they were centuries earlier.

You can consult here this book published on blurb and available online. In this work, Michel Groleau demonstrates that the street has a life, a dynamism of its own. He explores this point of view in this collection and reveals many images which he sketched on the fly during his urban explorations.

Tell with images

A great traveler, Michel Groleau quickly fell in love with photography. His past as a journalist quickly led him to seek unique places, special moments and funny situations to freeze them in time. He particularly likes photo-reporting. He claims that the street speaks and has made it his mission to give him the floor. According to him, the street sends us back to our reflections; it forces us to reflect, to look at who we are, to question ourselves about our attitudes and to question ourselves about what we are becoming.

Lover of nature, Michel Groleau also travels the world in search of grandiose landscapes that he captures with his camera. He does not neglect urban landscapes and tries to show them from more original angles than each other.
